Artist Statement

As a mixed media artist, I primarily utilize acrylics on linen, drawing from my diverse background in textile homewares and my qualifications as a Counsellor and Art Therapist. This unique journey deeply informs my artistic practice.

I enjoy the interplay of various mediums, frequently integrating printmaking with acrylics and exploring alternative substrates. The process of painting still life offers a meditative experience, while my engagement with abstraction allows for personal expression.

My work is further enriched by my background as a transpersonal therapist, where I explore symbols, dreamscapes, and universal imagery that delve into the human psyche. Nature, particularly my profound connection with birds and their symbolic meanings, serves as a significant source of inspiration in my art.
